Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation - EBOO

What is Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation (EBOO)?

How Does EBOO Work?
EBOO is actually a form of dialysis. It uses a dialysis filter to clean blood from the debris of destroyed germs, heavy metals, fungus, and more, and to ozonate the blood in stages. Essentially, as blood is drawn from a vein, it goes through the filter where it is ozonated and then is reintroduced to the body through a different vein. Like other IV ozone therapies, EBOO enhances oxygen utilization, stimulates the body’s natural healing processes, strengthens the immune system, kills pathogens, and so forth; however, EBOO is the only IV ozone device that simultaneously filters your blood while it is being ozonated. The entire process only takes about 60-90 minutes! Because it is a closed system, where blood is never exposed to outside elements, it eliminates the possibility of contamination. The course takes about 4-6 procedures, 1 week apart, after that you would be reassessed and given a recommendation.
Who Can EBOO Treatments Help?
EBOO is known to have beneficial effects in killing viruses, eliminating bacteria, and neutralizing toxic substances. Ozone therapy in general, of which EBOO is the most advanced form, can be helpful for a number of disorders including joint pain in the knees, lower back, hip, shoulder, elbows, and neck, inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, bursitis, nephritis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis, proctitis, and cystitis.
One of EBOO’s strongest effects is pain management, which these disorders are known for and can be the most debilitating factor in dealing with them. It can also be helpful in autoimmune disorders like fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis, again known for their painful effects on the body.
In a study published in 2005, patients with peripheral artery disease (PAD) were given EBOO treatments in a clinical trial to determine whether their skin lesions improved. The patients who were treated with EBOO showed significant regression of skin lesions as compared to the other form of treatment given to the other set of patients (prostacyclin).1 Not only did the skin lesions regress but the patients who received the EBOO treatments also reported less pain and better overall well-being.
Ozone therapies can also be useful for patients with viral infections, bacterial infections, cardiovascular diseases, eye diseases, skin disorders, respiratory diseases, heavy metal poisoning, and other conditions like fungal/yeast infections, tetanus, and chronic fatigue.
Why is EBOO superior to other IV ozone options?
EBOO is superior to all other IV ozone options because of its unique design similar to dialysis.
During treatment 2-3 liters of your blood is:
  1. Ozonated: The process of enriching your blood with an oxygen-ozone (O3) mixture and infused back it into the body to stimulate natural healing processes. This supports deep healing at a cellular level which enhances oxygen utilization, dramatically reduces inflammation, kills pathogens, boosts energy production, and neutralizes free radicals.
  1. Detoxed and Filtered: A breakthrough approach that runs your blood through an advanced filtration system to remove harmful substances—including toxins, biofilms, blood clots, microplastics, heavy metals, and pathogens.

Through increased oxygen utilization and other pathways EBOO has been shown to:
  • Appears to reduce Covid-19 spike protein and associated toxin-like peptides (in recent studies)
  • Inactivate of viruses, bacteria, fungi, yeast, parasites, and protozoa
  • Increase energy and metabolism by accelerating ATP (energy) production
  • Exert anti-inflammatory effects
  • Improve athletic performance and recovery
  • Stimulate detoxification
  • Reduce pain
  • Stimulate the immune system to increase healing
  • Scavenge excess free radicals, which are key in rejuvenation and overall health
  • Up-regulate antioxidant enzyme defenses
  • Improve circulation by clearing the arteries and veins
  • Reduces ischemia in vascular disease by increasing the red blood cells pliability and flexibility
  • Purify blood and lymph
  • Remove cholesterol including LDL and fat deposits in the blood
  • Stimulate growth factors
  • Normalize hormone and enzyme production
       Primary Contraindications*
  • Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency (Favism): This is an absolute contraindication due to the significant risk of red blood cell breakdown (hemolysis).
  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: EBOO is generally not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester, to avoid potential risks to the fetus.
  • Active Bleeding and Coagulation Disorders: Individuals with severe blood clotting disorders, a tendency for hemorrhages, or actively bleeding organs are not candidates.
  • Allergy to Heparin: Heparin is used as an anticoagulant during the procedure; an allergy to it is a contraindication (though sodium citrate may be a potential alternative in some cases).
  • Uncontrolled Hyperthyroidism: The therapy can be problematic for those with uncontrolled thyroid conditions, such as Graves' disease.
Other Significant Contraindications
  • Cardiovascular Conditions: EBOO is generally avoided in patients with recent myocardial infarction (heart attack), severe cardiovascular instability, or congestive heart failure.
  • Blood Conditions: This includes conditions like severe anemia, leukemia, thrombocytopenia (low platelet count), or a history of specific types of stroke (hemorrhagic/apoplectic).
  • Neurological Conditions: Seizure disorders are listed as a contraindication by some sources.
  • Other Factors: Uncontrolled hypertension (high blood pressure), porphyria, acute alcohol intoxication, and use of certain medications (e.g., specific sulfa drugs, some ACE inhibitors) may also preclude treatment.
